Membership

We would always advise you to come and visit us before joining Companion Cycling as a member. This will give you the opportunity to have a look at the cycles and maybe have a trial ride during one of our regular sessions before deciding whether Companion Cycling is right for you. It is always best if you telephone us beforehand to let us know that you are coming so that we can be sure that there will be somebody to show you around and help you to choose the most appropriate cycle for you.

Once you have had a taste of what we have to offer, and assuming that you have decided to use our service, then we will ask you to complete a membership application form (see below) and either post it or bring it to us together with the one-off £10 registration fee which we charge for membership. As a member each ride will then cost you £2.00.

Most of our members ride together with either one of their family, or with a friend or carer, but don't worry if this isn't possible for you. We can nearly always provide a volunteer to ride with you if you aren't able to come with your own 'pilot'.

If you are coming from a residential home or a day centre then again, this is not a problem - you will be very welcome to join us. If you can come along with a carer who will ride with you then all the better. If you would like to come along as a group, then please give us a call and we can also arrange this.
